Quantum Stochastic Process Associated with Quantum Lévy Laplacian
A noncommutative extension of the Lévy Laplacian, called the quantum Lévy Laplacian, is introduced and its relevant properties are studied, in particular, a relation between the classical and quantum Lévy Laplacians is studied. We construct a semigroup and a quantum stochastic process generated by the quantum Lévy Laplacian.
متن کاملUnique Continuation Estimates for the Laplacian and the Heat Equation on Non-compact Manifolds
This article concerns some quantitative versions of unique continuation known as observability inequalities. One of them is a lower bound on the spectral projectors of the Dirichlet Laplacian which generalizes the unique continuation of an eigenfunction from any open set Ω. Another one is equivalent to the interior null-controllability in time T of the heat equation with Dirichlet condition (th...
متن کاملQuantum Laplacian Eigenmap
Laplacian eigenmap algorithm is a typical nonlinear model for dimensionality reduction in classical machine learning. We propose an efficient quantum Laplacian eigenmap algorithm to exponentially speed up the original counterparts. In our work, we demonstrate that the Hermitian chain product proposed in quantum linear discriminant analysis (arXiv:1510.00113,2015) can be applied to implement qua...
متن کاملFourier's law of heat conduction: quantum mechanical master equation analysis.
We derive the macroscopic Fourier's Law of heat conduction from the exact gain-loss time convolutionless quantum master equation under three assumptions for the interaction kernel. To second order in the interaction, we show that the first two assumptions are natural results of the long time limit. The third assumption can be satisfied by a family of interactions consisting of an exchange effec...
متن کاملThe Langevin Equation for a Quantum Heat Bath
We compute the quantum Langevin equation (or quantum stochastic differential equation) representing the action of a quantum heat bath at thermal equilibrium on a simple quantum system. These equations are obtained by taking the continuous limit of the Hamiltonian description for repeated quantum interactions with a sequence of photons at a given density matrix state. In particular we specialise...
